About Our Mission

We Care for Cornwall Regional Hospital's goal is to work alongside the hospital’s team of professionals and the Ministry of Health to determine the areas of need for western Jamaica’s regional hospital, and assist in raising funds to address the institution’s operational deficiencies.

The We Care for Cornwall Regional Hospital initiative in 2011 was created by a group of concerned Montegonians. The initiative is driven by a mission to enrich and inspire the lives of community members while recognizing the urgent need for improved services and better equipment at the Cornwall Regional Hospital.

Why Cornwall?

Cornwall is a 10 story, 400-bed capacity multidisciplinary institution Hospital. The Cornwall Regional Hospital is the only hospital outside of Kingston providing specialist services. Estimates say nearly 500,000 Jamaicans are treated at this facility every year.

Health Minister, Dr. Fenton Ferguson, has stated whenever there was a crisis and a child had to be referred to Kingston from the west side of the country, many have not survived transportation.

We believe our effort and aid are well spent touching the lives of nearly 500,000 Jamaicans each and every year. Without the help of private and corporate donors, we will not be able to carry out our mission. Please consider donating today to help this life-saving cause.
